The power at the center is currently out. Power went out around 2:20pm. Updates will be posted here. I will post here and make phone calls if we need to close.

MCDC Preschool Parents:

We have a field trip scheduled to Lyon Family Farm http://www.lyonfamilyfarms.com/  on Friday September 26th.  We will leave the center at 8:30am and return around 1:30pm.  Cost will be $10.00 per person and checks need to be made payable to MCDC.  We will pay for everyone at the farm.  If anyone will be meeting us at the farm, please have them make payment to MCDC.  We need to have an accurate head count when we arrive.

Jeans and tennis shoes or boots are suggested.  We will be going on a hayride to pick pumpkins and the ground is sometimes muddy.  You may pack a lunch or purchase lunch at the farm.  We will need to know if you are going to purchase lunch at the farm before the field trip.  We will gather that information as the time gets closer.

We will be posting signs and having you fill out permission forms the week before the field trip.

The workday scheduled for this Saturday has been moved to Saturday September 20th from 8am-12pm.  Please make plans to join us!  Be on the lookout for more information about the needs in each classroom.

Preschool Parents:

We are so excited to be partnering with The Little Gym of Jones Valley to provide you with a dance class here at MCDC!  Classes will be held once a week for 45 minutes.  Classes will be a combination of tap and ballet.  The first sixteen week session will begin on September 1, 2014 and run through Christmas Break.  Cost per class is $15.00. Your payments can be made out to MCDC in a separate check from tuition. You must commit to the full 16 week session; however, any missed classes may be made up at their location in Jones Valley.

First step is; we need to know how many children are going to participate, so we can plan the classes accordingly and make sure we have the minimum amount of children required to conduct a class.

We have an exciting Spirit Night coming up at Stevi B’s in Madsion.  Tuesday August 12th from 11am-9:00pm a portion of the receipts turned in at the front counter will come directly back to MCDC! We will be handing out stickers to the children that day, and if you go to Stevi B’s with your sticker on, you will receive two free tokens.   Stop right now, mark it on your calendar and then continue reading. J

We also have Stevi B’s Fundraiser Cards for sale.  They are $5.00 each and have over $65 worth of savings on them.  Some of the savings are 20 free game room tokens, free kid’s buffet w/purchase of drink; buy 20 tokens get 20 free, free buffet Mon-Thur, and more!  The cards do not expire until 12/31/14.  Just drop by the front offices to purchase.  We can take cash and checks made out to MCDC.
