The Knight School is the chess party for the well-rounded kids of America. Unlike your typical chess program, our primary focuses are good sportsmanship and fun. Join The Knight School chess party and give your child the gift of undeniable academic confidence, amazing chess friends, a self-identity as a smart kid, and a weekly dose of childhood joy that is the highlight of their week!

This revolutionary, party-based approach to chess has had amazing success—with an all-time record of 51-0 against traditional chess programs in school vs. school play—because of our unique and unprecedented educational philosophy, “the chess party.” Our unique model has swept America because it has never been seen before: we simply invite everyone from the brand new beginner to the highly advanced chess player (ages 4 – 12) in your school to join our school chess team and we use only super-fun teaching methods such as super-fast, chess clock-slapping chess games, zany chess videos, a strict bully-free environment, silicone wristbands for tactics mastery, chesspuzzlers for candy, driving musichilarious tactics-lesson videos, and Mardi-Gras bead chess tournaments each day we practice. Sign up today!

Why should my child play chess?

The research suggests that chess improves and reinforces academic confidenceproactivitytest scores, and personal integrity. Plus chess provides your child with smart, funny friends that will be positive influences in their life. Many, many chess moms and chess dads have come to me and thanked me for helping their son or daughter to be ready to tackle their classrooms at school. Many of my kids use success in chess as a springboard to classroom success. So very many of my kids develop a self-identity as a "smart person," and that understanding of themselves as very smart people remains with my students all their lives. Read more here:

We also have the opportunity to add another extracurricular program for our preschoolers:

Brain Builders STEAM Pre-school uses play to open up the world of early science, technology, engineering, arts, math, and language skills for young children. All classes are hands-on to ignite a natural curiosity of learning and foster a love of discovery and investigation.  Classes build skills such as confidence, creativity and collaboration.

Student will utilize LEGO® Education resources and a variety of building materials to grow their understanding of gears, levers, pulleys, wheels, axles, math, motion, measurement, shapes and problem-solving skills in a fun and engaging way.

Classes are geared towards children ages 3 ½ to 6 years old and meet for 30 minutes once a week. Classes meet 4 times a month. Monthly tuition is $45 with a $25 annual registration fee.

Would you be interested in adding another program, or do you feel we have enough currently to choose from?  I would love to hear your feedback!

Please let me know if you have any questions.
