I am Colleen Wilson-Hodge,
the MCDC Registrar. Below is some information designed to provide
you with information about enrolling in MCDC. If after reading
a little about our center, you wish to enroll, the necessary procedure
and form are included.

A little bit of information about MCDC:
MCDC is a parent-run daycare. Day-to-day operations are handled by
the Director, Kelli Wright, and Asst. Director, Margie Cooper. Other
matters are handled by a board of
directors that is staffed by MCDC parents. I am one of those parents
and hold the position of Registrar. In addition to this letter, the
MCDC web site has a lot of useful information about the daycare. It
is updated regularly and is accessible both on and off site. Information
such as the Operating Policies, Bylaws and
News on the front page so you can easily see
what has been recently added.
General Info:
MCDC is NAEYC accredited and uses the Creative Curriculum.
MCDC is on the USDA food program to ensure balanced meals for the children.
Breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided. Enfamil Lipil w/ iron and baby cereal are also provided for infants. Parents must supply their own bottles, however.

* Fees: (Due every September):
Membership $25 per family, Registration $35 per child
Additional Fees: $150 deposit required within 2 weeks of enrollment; credited towards last 2 weeks of enrollment when 2 weeks notice is given.
Infant Rooms:
We have 2 infant rooms. There are six infants and 2 teachers in each room.
Our ratio of 3:1 for infants is one of the best around.
Creeper Room:
After the children reach 8 or 9 months, they usually transition to the Creeper Room. This room has a 4:1 ratio. They will stay in this room until they are developmentally ready to move to the toddler room. In order to move, they need to be able to walk well, eat table food and be off the bottle. This varies from child to child but is typically between 13 and 15 months.
Toddler-Fours:
There are 2 toddler rooms, 10 in
each class (5:1), 2 2-year old rooms, 12
in each room (6:1), a young 3 yr old room,
16 in class (8:1), one older 3s and young
4s classroom, 20 in class (10:1) and a Pre-k
classroom, 20 in class (10:1).
